That's The End of Sem 6 of BPharm

Sem 6 has some what ended..finally after 3 weeks of hell (inclusive of 2 weeks of study break and 1 week of exam).

1st, let talk abt the not-so-nice thing abt this sem...
The One and Only ....EOS...again has got the top spot as the worst thing of the semester!
EOS this time around was really really really bad...
1. I almost cried during the MSK paper, after looking at the essay questions. "Why the hell that wound healing is doing there?"- That was the 1st thing tht came to mind when i saw the paper.

2. I did one good decision while doing my CPK paper - i did the SAQs 1st, then only the MCQs.
BUT, that doesn't mean tht everything else was good. I had time, but i dunno how to do the question!!!!! I spent 5 minutes figuring out how to solve a simple mathematical equation, which i oni figured it out while studying for CC later at night. And, no matter how many times I press the damn calculator, it keeps on giving me weird answer....

3. CC was the ONLY paper that was nice to me!!!! muaxx

4. I cant even recall a single event that occurred during the ONE hour CTT paper...I can't remember a single question from the paper rite now... The only thing i remember is - I wrote till i can even feel my hand...ONE hour for 75 marks....that's insane!!!!!

5. Whatever mentioned in item no 4 is applicable in toxicology, with addition of serious lack of sleep....

The conclusion of EOS, Ms Anitha Ramadas will be happy if she passes all the paper, regardless of the grade..Keeping my fingers crossed!

Now, lets talk abt the NICE things
IMU BALL..
After months of preparation....finally the day arrived (10/04/2010)...
It was great nite...with nice hairdo, make-up..and nice dresses-all the girls form B107 looked stunning. Not to be forgotten, the guys were all smart looking!!
For one day, the entire b107 put the notes and books aside, and gathered for yet another B107 event!!!
That was one great nite to be remembered!!!

Today was our class party...
I enjoyed my self to the max and had alots of fun...and laughter.

There was alot of performances...
I loved Wan Ling's one the most..it was so touching and nearly cried (maybe i did cry abit)

And the game....was superb!!! Thanx for Kean Ping for tht and also Andrew to being a great mc.

I have alot to say and dunno how to put in the correct words now.....Thts kinda weird as talking and expressing my thoughts was never a problem for me...
I guess Im too flattered and touched to even say a word...

I wonder how the time flies very fast. It just felt like yesterday.
All those memories are still fresh in my mind....

2009 been a dramatic year for me..full of ups and downs and full of drama...
Learned alot in 2009....
Spent more time for myself and family...and alots of precious moments with MC..

2009 was indeed a happy year for me!!!

And now, I welcome 2010 with open arms...and wait to see what it brings for me.

And of course, HAPPY Anniversary...

14 DEC 2009.....ANITHA is now 23 years old...

Is that mean that im "old" ?
Is that mean that im getting more matured?
Is it something to celebrate about?
Is it just another day in the calendar?

These were the thoughts that I had a day before my birthday...
As a matter of fact, I totally forgot that the next day is my birthday....

However, I was convinced by several frens and other "incidents" that ...it is something to celebrate and there no need worried about getting older...

The celebration started much before 12 am....with the meteor shower...
I managed to get sight of 2 meteors:)
And as the time goes by, facebook was flooded with birthday wishes....(thanx for wishes people :)
And...of course, smses...and some phone calls form frens and relatives...

At nite, there were 2 surprises....
1. MC showed up....He was supposed to be at Putrajaya...but ended up at my doorstep :)
I was so delighted and happy to see him :)

2. Sis come home with my birthday cakes...12 cupcakes...

GIRL & BOY...during the happy times

Just minutes ago, my pet BOY passed away.
It died of old age...to be exact.. of kidney and liver failure.
:(

It is Silky Terrier....pretty looking pet...adorable...loving....cute...protective...
I gonna miss u BOY...

Earlier in this year, its pair GIRL passed away due to the same reason...

We buried BOY beside the spot that we buried GIRL months ago...

May both of them REST in PEACE...

70th Birthday!!!

Last Saturday was my grandma's 70th birthday..
We had a surprise birthday party for her.

We asked her to go to a nearby temple early in the morning and spend her time there till after lunch.
Only at about 3pm, she got back home and she had a great surprise!!!
She was really surprised and touched by our preparation!!!

The event kicked off at 8pm by cutting the cake, and lasted till 11.30pm.
We had alotz fun...good food, games, dancing...etc.

And most important of all, my grandma was very happy.

She is great director....

No one knows what is happening to her...

What everyone know is..."She collapsed while delivering a presentation at TV3, and was rushed to Damansara Specialist Hospital" and "She had cardiac arrest and now in ICU"

What we don't know is...
Will she survived?
Is she still alive?
What exactly happen to her? (come on man...everything aslo put cardiac arrest. What caused the cardiac arrest?)

But, let's hope for the best...She is still alive and will recover soon to make more great movies and meaningful adds.

Its' weekends again.
Hopefully, I'll be able to do something more useful this weekend.

Today, MC picked me up from vista and just turned into the main road, when I saw 3 guys...trying to get taxi.
It was David, KC and Weng Fai.
So, we stopped and gave them a lift...to sri petaling, to a restaurant opposite The Store (thats' what David told me)...

Actually, they were heading to Wei Wen's birthday celebration...

Why am I blur?
I noe that the number of lectures are alot lesser but there are more guided readings to be done...
Although I have 4 semester before this, I just dunno where to start...
I tried doing schedule, but i am not on schedule....

I am LAZy and still havent got the tempo to study yet...
So, I am spending everyday surfing the net...facebooking....and just being lazy..
and i sleep alot!!!!

The beginning of year 3...semester 5 of Bpharm...batch B107..
There are certain so called 'good news' and of course alots of 'bad news'..

To make myself happy..let me mention the so called 'good news' first..
1. So called less workload...meaning more PS and free periods..
2. Portfolio has been reduced to 3..and incorporated with PBL's... (this is the one that i like)
3. No more practicals...(except for the ones doing analytical method validation)
4. ?????

Now, the BAD NEWS...
1. No more CLASS TEST....this is bad...Not only because there is no more revision inducer, also because the more marks will be given for assignments, projects, CAL, PBL and portfolios where there is higher possibility to score low marks..
2. All of us have to fight for the selectives...it is on first come first serve basis...i wonder what's gonna happen on wednesday =p
3. More guided reading topics...i am always lazy in reading topics that are not covered in lectures.
4. 3 systems together (CNS + ENDO + REPRO)...and CNS is 4 credits paper...omg!!!

and the bad news list goes on and on...

This is the life of Bpharmer....

Family Trip to A Famosa

Last weekend, me and my family went A Famosa..not the fort but the resort.
Yup, all 20 of us including my uncles, aunties and cousins went to the resort in 4 cars...
We spent 2 days and 1 night there and had alots of fun.
The first day, Saturday, we checked in the resort at 3 pm and after getting to the villa, we immediately jumped to the pool...

Later at night, we went to the cowboy town..watched the carnival and took alots of pics ..

The next morning, we went to the safari and spent the whole day there... The animals were well trained and fed..None of it were "lazy"or sleeping..All were active and photogenic..

Overall, it was great trip and a trip to be remembered!!

True Pharmacist!!!

Today is another shopping day..again in mid valley.
This time, I went shopping with my sis. My target shopping item was a swimwear that fulfils certain requirements and a pair of flat shoes since I got a pair of heels last week.
Yes, a pair of shoes, again.
I love shoes!!! One pair is never enough!!!

End of the shopping, I reached my target!!!
I got a swimwear and a pair of pretty looking, grey-coloured flat shoes.

While walking back towards Gardens, Mom called, asking me to buy salbutamol inhaler for dad.
So, I went in the 1st pharmacy that I saw, Vitacare pharmacy.
And for the 1st time, the pharmacist asked questions and gave advices just like what we (bpharmer) are taught to do in our psd. I have been to many other retail pharmacy, BUT no pharmacist ever ask me any questions or gave advice. The only thing they usually say is the price!!!!

However, this particular pharmacist asked all the necessary questions
=> who is it for?
=> what is ur dad's name? (He needed it to write on the label. Yes, he prepared the label just like what we do in our dispensing practical)
=> how long he has been taking it?
=> what is usually dose?
=> side effects experienced? tremor?
=> and finally the price.

I was so surprised and happy that someone is following the correct way!!!!
I was happy that whatever I studied and practiced in psd and dispensing practical was indeed practised by a retail pharmacist.
And I told the pharmacist how I felt!!!

That's what I call "A True Pharmacist"

Overall, today is happy day!!!

Today is my parents'30th wedding anniversary.
So, me and sis have planned a small celebration at home, with cake...
Amma has planned to go to temple later in the evening with appa (after he come back from work).

Finally, after 3 weeks of holidays, i went out of KL city..
I went to PD with a group frens. 12 of us went to PD together and had alots of fun..

Since I think that the PD sea is kind of polluted, I decided not to "mandi" in the sea.
So, my sis and me took the opportunity to take alots of snaps and pose for camera!!!

The part that I enjoyed the most are the sun set, photos and the car journey to and back from PD!!

Here, lets imitate a psd case scenario. There is a patient walked into your pharmacy, looking very anxious.. So, what should you as the pharmacist do...

Pharmacist: Hello, good morning. I am ...., the pharmacist. How can address u?
Patient: Hi, you can call me .....

Pharmacist: Okie. You look anxious. Is there anything that I can help?
Patient: Anxious? What is anxious?

Pharmacist: What is anxious?
--> Anxious is defined as full of mental distress or uneasiness because of fear of danger or misfortune; greatly worried; solicitous.

Patient: Yes, you are rite. I am feeling anxious.

Pharmacist: So, since when you are having this feeling?
Patient: Since today morning.

Pharmacist: I would like to ask to some questions, hope you don't mind. Do you have any family problem?
Patient: Nope, no family problem.

Pharmacist: Money problem? Personal problems?
Patient: Nope.

Pharmacist: Hmmmm...Okie. Is there any other specific event or reason that may have caused this?
Patient: Today is Monday, 25th May and got 2 more days to 27th May.

Pharmacist: ??? So??
Patient: My End of Semester 4 Examination results are coming out on 27th May. So, I think I am worried and anxious about it.

Pharmacist: Oh, ok. Have you done anything so far to reduce your anxiousness?
Patient: Yes, I have wrote a post in my blog..

Pharmacist: Alright, there isn't much that I can do right now. You wait till Wednesday and see whether your anxiousness goes away after taking your results. If it still persist, I advice to go and see a doctor immediately. For now, just try to calm down, relax and drink a lot of water. You can also exercise especially yoga to calm yourself. Apart from that, you can also divert your mind to something else such as shopping! Or maybe you can eat a lot of chocolates. Chocolates do help to cheer me up..

Patient: Ok. Thanx alot.

Pharmacist: Is there anything else that you need? Any question?
Patient: Nope.

It's Holiday & I am BORED!!!

First of all, as a indication of the beginning of semester 4 holidays, I have changed the blog template. I got it from a website that my sister suggested. After searching for about 20 minutes, I shortlisted 4 templates and sought my sister's opinion. So, finally made decision to use this template. Then, I spent another few hours trying to do modification to the layout. It turned out to be nice and I'm happy about it.

Actually, it has been only 6 days since the holidays started and I'm bored. The 1st few days was fun. Spent the 1st day at home, enjoying mummy's cooking. Saturday, I went out with MC to MV, had lunch together and did some shopping. Sunday was sisters day out, watched Angels and Demons with my sister in Sunway Pyramid. Spent the whole Sunday out with my sister; lunch, movie, shopping and finally coffee in Starbucks. While we were chilling out in Starbucks, met my old school teacher, Ms. Shirley. We chit chat for about 3 hours.

Since Monday, I didn't go out and chose to read books instead. I finished one and just started on the 2nd book... and I'm getting bored.

WHAT TO DO? I AM BORED!!!!

today is the "freaking friday"

first of all, i did pass natural products and all the other paper.
it means there is no need for resit.
thank god.

BUT, it doesn't mean that today wasn't "freaking friday"

As matter of fact, it or rather frustrating!!

Today, i had alots of other probs...from personal to luck...
It was total bad luck..
I chose to go to IMU to get my results with my dad, in his motorbike...
Guess wat?!!
Half-way thru the bukit jalil highway, it rained so heavily.
We had to seek shelter from factory located by the highway...
Since the rain seem to be forever....Had to call my sis to come and fetch me..
Finally, after nearly 20minutes of waiting, sis arrived.
We headed to IMU and get my results.

So, it is actually frustrating friday!!!!

2mr is friday...
not any ordinary friday..
its friday the 5th of december 2008...
the friday where my sem 3 results are coming out...

oh, my god....natural products is killing me.
since monday, i'm praying to the god.."oh god, i wont fail any paper rite?"..."oh god, i wont fail natural products, rite?"

I can't imagine sitting for natural products paper again....It is just too...too awful

Anyway, today I went for IMU art comp' committee dinner...It is at a steamboat restaurant in sunway.
I had alot fun with my frens there...we were laughing n eating n laughing..
It did help me to get over the "freaking friday" for some time.
After dinner, we stopped at the pyramid..to snap some group pics.
Since today, im not in the mood of writing a long post (im in the "freaking friday" mood)...the post and pic on the committee dinner shall wait for few more days...

HOPEFULLY THE "FREAKING FRIDAY" IS NOT THAT FREAKY!!!!

Dear B107...

Mr. Benny was right. There is a new edition of Pharmacotherapy Handbook, the seventh edition.
Guess when is was published....22 October 2008.

I found about it while browsing though the Amazon.com...
Then, i double checked in ebay....yup, the new edition is out!

It is a bad week...
I have finally got a buyer for my old lappy...not that old actually, 2 1/2 years old....
and u noe what...my lappy suddenly went faulty.
The other day, when I found the buyer, I immediately checked my lappy.
Everything was alrite...perfect
Since the buyer is from another state, I had to wait for him to come down to KL.
And now, when the buyer is here...I can't turn on the lappy.
I CAN'T SWITCH IT ON!!!!! with or without battery....
Oh, why this kinda stuffs happen to me all the time?!!!!!

Yesterday, I went to the ACER Service Center in USJ.
The lady in the customer service counter did not understand me clearly...and she does not noe anything about laptops.....
Her only answer to all my questions were
"I AM NOT SURE MISS. HAVE TO LET THE ENGINEERS CHECK IT."
She said they need 3 days to rectify the problem and will call me when they found out.
After that, I can choose to either go on with the repairing or not to repair it...

Do I have a choice?

I have a buyer who wanna buy the laptop, and the laptop is gone faulty...AND I don't noe how much the repairing will cost..

Hopefully, the cost is less than the selling price of the lappy.
At least, I won't be in loss!!

First of all, I would like to let everyone know that many of previous blog posts was only meant for draft purpose (I think Kin Man knows what I meant)! So, from now onwards, I'll write it in a way that can be posted...hopefully Kin MAn is happy about this!!! Lolz

So, it is the end of sem 3 of B107. The EOS this time was worst than the previous sem's.
So, I have decided to rank the papers from the most okie to the most ''shitty'' one. Plz note that this is my own ranking and it may not apply to everyone!!!

1. Pharmaceutics
oopss....can't rank it anymore..everything else was around the same...almost ''shitty''
hmmmmm
2. Drug Metabolism
3. Renal System
4. Pharmaceutical Analysis (only because i like chromatography and decided to memorize every line of Dr.Er's lecture....and if i did the calculations correctly.)
5. Respiratory System ( OH MY GOD....i just dunno the cough part...)
6. Microbiology (the MCQs was nightmare...a very bad nightmare)
7. NATURAL PRODUCT ( i think it is better not to talk much abt this module)

So, what is the conclusion?
1. I am very glad that it is all finally over
2. I am praying everyday so that I don't have go thru the notes for no 7 again....and meet the dean to give an explanation for it...
